You make a good point here. Perhaps someone has, at some point, attempted to continue the tale. Or perhaps the ending was put in place as a ploy to stimulate the further speculation of old-timey youths around the hearth, in order to inspire them to write (perhaps mentally) endings or tangent tales of their own.

In any case, you surely seem a talented writer. Here’s your opportunity to tell his tale (assuming that you haven’t already!). The short piece above, in itself, is quite hilarious and engaging. I particularly like “…and keeps knitting things out of houseplants.”

Also, wonderful artwork. I like the tiny white tuff to the boy’s hair, and his seemingly sad connection to the tiny white bird. You convey emotion well.
